Speakerphone stopped working completely

I have a T46G on my desk at home. I like it so much, I got another for my wife (who works from home, and does a LOT of teleconferencing.) At some point in the last day or so, her speakerphone totally stopped working. Tried power-cycling the phone. Resetting to factory default. Even flashed with latest firmware. If you hit the speakerphone button, it lights up green, but audio continues to go to the headset. The phone is fairly new (< 1 month?). It sounds like something physical/electrical has failed?
