T46G: Power LED always flashing when backlight is off

Hi Travis,

thank you. I did try it out and it seems to work now: Display first goes to screensaver mode and then it goes to power save mode, all as defined in my configuration. During power save mode the LED stays OFF and does not flashing, the display stays OFF too. The bug seems to be fixed.

I now will regard the behavior of my T46G devices over the next days/weeks and will report then again, whether or not the fix will prove to be stable over a longer period of time in relation to the LED problem / display problem. If staying stable, then I will buy another one T46G for my sleeping room. Surely you understand that I do not really need a blinking LED or a brightly shining display there during the night.

Following this link to the download site I also find a *.91-firmware for T42G.

I also own a T42G. Actually on my T42G I have the regular firmware *.110.

Regarding that the T42G never had this LED problem, which is discussed in this thread, which sense makes the special *.91-firmware for the T42G?

Did you see my previous post? I explained it.
.91 is a rolling version, we fixed LED problem on .71, so .91 version might have other issue fixed, and included LED problem fixed as well.

Just one last question: Will these fixes at some time be merged into a regular release, say some future .130 version, or do I need to stay on the special rolling release version (in this example, a future .131)?

Hi Stefan,

As I said, the general version you find on our website might have some major bug fixed, but we won't add all bugs together in the general version, for LED light problem, our PD team needs to evaluate first.

Anyway, I believe the special rolling release version .131 has better performance than general version .130, suggest to stay on the special version.

Yes, I saw it and I did understand your explaination, but I did not know that the T42G has (other) problems (too). Since I owned the T42G, it makes no problems. Therefore I regarded only the T46G and was focussed only on my T46G LED problem. Thank you again for your patience.

I just updated my T48G to 35.81.0.110 thinking that because it's a newer version it would have the LED issue fix included and I like to keep my devices up-to-date with the latest versions... but it doesn't have the LED fix.
I tried rolling back to 35.81.0.91 but it says Bad ROM when I try to do that.

How do I get a version where the LED issue is fixed?

In *.91 the LED issue is fixed.

Perhaps a reset to factory settings will help on your "bad rom" problem.
