Running:
SIP-T48G
x.81.0.71

I noticed that the issue returns after receiving a few phone calls and notifications. Not sure if it's the voicemail indicator breaking it or the missed call indicator. Either way the problem is not fully fixed yet.

Sorry, due to the time limite, we are unable to add this bug fixed to the general firmware version, Please note that the main purpose of official firmware version(x.81.0.90) you find on our website is to add some new features, such as Opus, usb recording & wifi for T41S/T42S/T27G.

Besides that, power saving features are for color screen models, so I think no need to upgrade the version to the newest one for T46G/T48G, suggest you keep using x.81.0.71.

This are not good news for me.

Since x.81.0.71 the annoying flashing LED was off, but the backlight is permanently on, also during powersave times. Another user (Jazzy) wrote the same.

BEFORE Firmware x.81.0.71 the LED did flash, but the backlight was out during power save (in all firmwares before x.81.0.71).

After installing x.81.0.90 was, as I did report, the LED-problem back again, but the backlight was off in the night.

Going back to x.81.0.71 would mean, that my backlight is on during day and night, although I did define power save times. This is not good for the display lifetime.

This different behavior regarding backlight can mean only two things:
a) the firmware x.81.0.71 has a bug regarding the backlight
OR
b) my parameters are false.

Please have a look on my parameters I did post in picture-attachements in post #75 in this thread. If my parameters are wrong, what are the correct parameters to stay backlight off during power save time AND keep useless LED-blinking off?

Does firmware T46-28.81.193.110 change something on theese two issues (LED, backlight)?

What is generally new in firmware T46-28.81.193.110?

The original problem appeared to be that it couldn't differentiate between entering power-saving mode and entering screen-blank mode. When the phone entered screen-blank mode the LED behaved as if it were entering power-saving mode, and started to blink.

As previously mentioned, this "fix" appears to be... don't let it enter screen-blank mode, by always keeping it partially on. That way they don't need to debug the original issue.

We have solved the Yealink problems at our office - management directed us to get rid of them, essentially because this issue was the last straw.

CeeTee, your solution may be good for your office, but it is not my solution. Principially my Yealink phones do their work well, therefore I give Yealink a new chance to repair this bug.

I hope there will be a solution for this bug. The solution cannot be, that the display backlight is ON all the time around the clock.

Meenwhile I see, the T46-28.81.193.110 on the download-site was renamed to T46-28.81.0.110, but that has nothing to do with the display-problem in *.71.

We did the same as CeeTee

If it helps (as this seems to be their only suggestion) I did restore my phone back to factory settings with the firmware that fixed the flashing LED and the backlight stayed on, I didn't make a video as I really did see the need...
Hope you manage to get it sorted Werner1959, it's not like you're asking for a new feature just a firmware that makes the LED perform how it used to and not to have the backlight on all the time.

Jazzy, surely I tried out the practice with the "reset to factory settings", in this way:

1. saving the actually configuration
2. downgrade from *.90 to *.71
3. reset to factory Settings
4. upload of the saved configuration

But this did not help, the display is shining bright the whole day and night. With all firmware versions before and after *.71 this does not happen, so there is no Hardware Problem.

So I wait for a solution from Yealink for this issue before the next major update. It is not acceptable that my displays are shining bright for the next half year or longer.

Let me give you an explanation about Yealink firmware has two kinds of versions:
The first one is what you see on our official website, in general version, the main purpose is for adding new features, but have some major bugs fixed.
The second one is technical support version, the main purpose is for bug fixing, it's a rolling version.
For example, you meet a issue base on the x.81.0.25, and then we will release a version like x.81.0.26 to fix this bug, for another bug base on the x.81.0.25, we will release a newer version x.81.0.27(.26 version is occupied), .27 version will also include the solution of .26 version.
From my understanding, you can simply treat .27 version better than .26 version better than .25 version.

Please test x.81.0.91 version, which is based on x.81.0.90

BTW, .90 and .110 doesn't have much difference, we fixed a bug about RTCP-xr on .110, if you don't use this feature, I believe .91 version is OK for you.
