Unable to pickup incoming calls
I work in a small office that has 5 T46G handsets. We have recently established the BLF on one of the handsets and have discovered that if the first line in our hunt group (line 1) is in use and we receive an incoming call (as per screenshot), I am unable to pick it up by "pressing "Pickup". Instead, I receive the following error message on my phone, "Temporarily Unavailable".

Is there a setting I need to change in order for any user to be able to pick up the incoming call?

Prior to establishing the BLF, we would press **XXX, but that does not seem to be working any more?

RE: Unable to pickup incoming calls
Hi ,
Would you please let us know more details about the issue ?
Do you mean the scenario is like below,
100, 101, 102 are in the same ring group ,ring group number is 800 choose ring method as " simultaneously" .
T46 register the account 100 and configure a blf key to monitor extension 105, enable the feature " Visual Alert for BLF Pickup“ and enalbe the "Directed Call Pickup " and confiugre the pick up code on T46.
200 make a call to 800,100,102,103 ring, 100 pick up the call
201 make a call to 105, the BLF key on the T46 green flash and prompt that "calls for pickup"
normally you can press the pickup button to pick up the incoming call but you can't ?

I can't reproduce the issue in my side, please let me know the details scenario in your side and the server , that we can try to reproduce the issue in my side.
If the version you used is not the latest version, please upgrade to the latest version .

RE: Unable to pickup incoming calls
Hi Flora,

Thank you for your reply and offer of assistance. I must admit i do not fully understand some of your questions and/or instructions, so please bare with me.

We have four handsets and they are all in the same group, under hunt/ring group number 09529926. The respective internal numbers for each of these handsets are -

1 - 09217533
2 - 09526104
3 - 09526102
4 - 09526103

When someone rings our office number, the first handset to ring is 09217533 and I am unable to pick it up from my handset (09526102) as per the steps in my OP. I have attached a screenshot of how I have established the BLF for each of the three phones I am looking to monitor and have simply changed the "value" for each respective handset.

I have not made any additional changes to the "ring method" and I am not sure if it is set to "simultaneously". If you can tell me where these settings are, I can check and let you know.

[quote='Flora' pid='15322' dateline='1432205226'enable the feature " Visual Alert for BLF Pickup“ and enalbe the "Directed Call Pickup " and confiugre the pick up code on T46. [/quote]

Can you please tell me where the "Visual Alert for BLF Pickup" and "Directed Call Pickup" features are and I will enable them accordingly.

Thanks,

ray_grey

RE: Unable to pickup incoming calls
Thanks for your information .
From your description , it seems you use the sequently ring method which means , ring group number has a call, the first handset will ring. If the ring group number has new incoming call, the second handset will ring..
It is configured in the server side, please refer to attached file.
From the BLF setting, it seems you didn't configure the extension value which should be used to configure pick up value.
In this case, please enable the direct call pickup feature and configure the pick up value for example for 3CX, the pickup value is *20*.
please refer to attached file.

Hi Flora,

I have spoken to my service provider and they use "Asterisk" rather than 3CX.

They also advised that the pickup "code should be ** then the extension number or internal number. For example, ** 2XXX or **09XXXXXX".

So, if Line 1 (029217533) is in use due to an incoming call and I am unable to pick it up as per my OP, what value should I enter in the "Directed Call Pickup Code" in my phone settings? I have tried **2003 (which is the code for 029217533) and I still encountered the same problem.

Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Unable to pickup incoming calls
Sorry but the pick up code is configured in the server's side, please contact with your server provider to get the code.
Best Regards!
