T46G: Power LED always flashing when backlight is off

Whilst I appreciate your comment that something is finally in the works, read this thread and look at the lack of feedback from Yealink, and the comments about tech-support simply responding with "as designed". Why should that be interpreted as anything other than customers being ignored?

It is rather ironic that a communications company has such poor communication.

To all the people out there, please do not shout at the forum and keep it nice. This is really not necessarily and you don’t getting things faster. Only more frustrations. Maybe are some words not well formulated. Sorry about that. Be patience.

Please try next workaround where the display is at a low backlight level and let’s say after 3 hours the screensaver is going active. As for now the MWI led is not flashing.
Settings > Power Savings > Power Saving-Disabled
Settings > Preference > Screensaver Wait Time-3h
Settings > Preference > Active Backlight Level-1

Frank, please do try to be Yealink's apologist. Customers are annoyed and patience has been well & truly tested. I'm sorry, but I'm way beyond the stage of being 'nice' about this, and I object to valid complaints being categorised as 'shouting'.

The whole point of this thread is that there are 2 issues - A bug that mistakes Backlight-Off for Power-Saving mode, and a non-configurable LED flashing at more-or-less the same rate as missed calls. Both are glaring errors that should never have passed any Q&A and regression testing, and Yealink should not have waited this long to advise of a 'possible' fix - which is currently vapourware.

I can't speak for others, but I'm not interested in a workaround, I just want it fixed.

Yes we are getting constant complaints from our clients, we have 40 T48S, its becoming a nuisance, also is there a way to turn off blinking for miss calls as well? Trying to find something out there but no luck.

I know there are providers out there much (MUCH) larger than us, but reading through the thread I'm seeing a lot of people who have a fairly low count of phones. Maybe my post will make a difference to Yealink. These bugs are an issue for us as well and we have over 2000 Yealink T4x phones in the field. We really need a fix. This is turning in to a very dark mark on Yealink's record which is unfortunate because I have pushed hard to get our team to use the T4x series exclusively.

Yealink already release a new T46G firmware version to fix this issue, please download from below link and have a test:

Please find attached photo.

For example:
If you set as above, the power saving LED light will be turn off, and if you set 100 on these two options both, the light will light for 100ms and dark for 100ms, is it clear for you?

For other models, we will release new firmware within next 2 weeks, we will also put this modification into our next general firmware release.
