Backlight wakes up too often from power savings

Newest firmware

When the backlight turns off with the power savings feature, it wakes up every time there is a sip reregistration or an ntp time update.

This should not be happening. sip re-registrations and ntp updates (and i don't know what all else) should not wake up the backlight.
