W70b will not connect with RT30

Every time I do that I select RT30 the handset says I need to reboot. I do and nothing changes. I can't get the repeater to register with the base.

If I just set the base in registration mode (top LED flashing), Hold the link button on the Rt30 but nothing happens. It stays with the power green, dect flashing red, and relay off.

Any ideas what I am missing here?

Maybe you have already checked, but do the devices work in the same region? EU or US?
