Programming keys on phone level vs config server
I have 15 T38G phones connected to a CoreDial config server and my customer is requesting buttons that the config server doesn't have. I know how to program the keys they need on the phone level but I don't want the config server to replace them should the phone pull down the config again for what ever reason. Any thoughts?

RE: Programming keys on phone level vs config server
Do you mean the scenario is like below,
The phone using CoreDial auto provisioning server.
The provisioning files in the CoreDial server has configured the first 5 DSS keys.
The customer manually configure another 5 DSS keys.
you don't want the CoreDial server change the 5 DSS keys the customer manually configure ,right ?
In this case, if the auto provisioning files doesn't contain the syntax to configure the 5 DSS keys the customer manully configured , the phone won't replace them .
But if the config files in the server side has already configured these DSS keys, it will replaced by the server when the phone need to do next auto provisioning .

and normally the phone will try to provisioning the phone according to the provisioing setting in the phone.
For example in the attached file, the Check New Config option is configured with on , it means the phone will connect to the server to check whether it need auto provisioning ( only with the content in the server side has changed, the phone will do auto provision ) every time when power on
more details, please refer to the auto provisioning guide you can download from website.
