T46 Mute turns off on it's on
When on a conference call and having your phone on mute, if another call rings to your phone, after you reject the call, or just let it ring through until it hits voice mail, the mute key turns off. The mute light will stay lit while the call is ringing through however once the call stop ringing, the mute button automatically turns off. This does not occur when you're on a normal call, only when you're on a conference call and are on mute.

Just to make sure I spell this out so the scenario is clear, below is a step by step to duplicate the error:
Establish a phone call with a single phone(internal or extension # does not matter).
Press conference and contact a second phone.
Press conference again to connect the 2 calls with yourself and establish a conference
Press Mute on your phone (Mute functions and light turns on)
From yet another phone, call into your phone that you just were using to establish the conference.
Reject the incoming call and you will see the mute light turn off and that you are indeed unmuted
or
Ignore the incoming call and once the call stops ringing, the mute light will turn off and you will be unmuted.

I've tested this on both 28.71.0.180 and 28.72.0.2 firmwares and both behave identically.

Please advise if there is a setting that can be adjusted to address this.
If a new firmware is required to resolve this, please provide a link and ensure that the firmware version supports multicast paging, and RPS, as well as of course fixing the issue.

Also, as an alternate solution, please advise if there is a way for the use to answer the incoming call, and still allow the 2 people conferenced in on your first line to continue talking without putting that line on hold.

Please let me know if there is any further information I can provide as it is very important we find a solution to this.

I inquired about this with the reseller I order phones through yes but I haven't received any time estimates from them yet either. Can you provide and estimate or contact your colleague who is working on this to get the estimate?

Has any progress been made on this issue yet? We have a growing number of assistants, specifically assistants to the CEO’s of multiple large companies who are pressing for a fix for this. They very frequently will conference in the executive and another call, and stay on the line to take notes. During this conference they will be on mute so they can monitor the call without disturbing. This is causing a major problem for the users as when they receive another call, the phone unmutes itself, without any notification, thus causing their audio or the noise around their desk to interrupt the conference call between the executive and the 2nd caller.

Pleas provide an update to this ticket.

has there been any progress on this? i am still having this issue on t28p and t48g phones with newest firmware (2.72.0.80 on t28p, and 35.72.0.30 on t48g)
