Bug T46G Configure key to operate as a VTR key?
Has anyone had luck programming a key to operate as a Voice mail Transfer key like a key system does? I have tried setting up a Prefix key with no joy. My Yealink phones are connected to a Hosted Cloud Pbx.

RE: T46G Configure key to operate as a VTR key?
Do you configure the key as the transfer key? Or other keys?
Do you configure the Transfer Mode via Dsskey to blind transfer?

RE: T46G Configure key to operate as a VTR key?
Karl,
(Note) Our cloud pbx uses "7" for the "send call to voicemailbox" function.
(example) Press Transfer, dial 7XXX, Transfer sends the caller directly to the mailbox.

If you configure the "Transfer Mode via Dsskey to blind transfer" and assign a "Prefix key with value 7" it works.
(example) Press Transfer, Press "Prefix key with value 7", press BLF-120 key = sends the caller directly to mailbox 120.

Problem is: Most receptionists at small companies do not want to blind transfer every call they use the Transfer function on.
Example A: Receptionist wants to reach ext-120 using attended transfer
Press Transfer, Press BLF-120 key and speak with co-worker. If they want the call, she presses Transfer
Example B: Receptionist wants to transfer the caller directly to mailbox-120
Press Transfer, "Prefix" or some key that approximates a "voicemail transfer key" on a pbx, Press BLF-120 key and press Transfer or hangup

We get complaints from virtually every receptionist because they are forced to manually dial the voicemail transfer code plus the ext number. Why is this so difficult to reproduce? Why not allow a "prefix" key to chain to a BLF key so the result is:
Press Prefix "7", Press BLF-120, Press Transfer and it sends out DTMF string "7120" on the outside line?

Hi

For your issue, let me check with you:
1. A call B, B answer.
2. B need to check with C. If C want to answer this call, then B can press the key and transfer it to C.
3. If C don't want to answer, then it can transfer it to VM, right?
Please kindly let me know if any misunderstanding.

For the issue, i think you can set 2 key as BLF type. And you should set this key type as attended transfer.
For step 2, you should set this key with extension 7 and value 120
For step 3, you should set this key with value 120

BR
Kevin

Thanks for the reply,
You seem to be suggesting programming 2-BLF keys for each user, which mean 40-keys to cove 20-users.
I need to program 1- VTR key that adds "DTMF 7" to what the value of any BLF key you dial next.
(Example) Press Transfer, Press VTR key, Press any BLF key, Press Transfer and it sends out DTMF string "7120" to the outside line.

Hi Will

Thanks for your information. Please go to web interface of the phone, under DSSkey page, you can find Prefix type, please enter 7 for type key. After that, you can set another 20 BLF key.

In your scenario, you can firstly press this Prefix key, then press any BLF key.
Let me know if any update.

Best Regards,
