Correct password don't work anymore
Hello,

We are using the following desk phone models:

SIP-T19P_E2
SIP-T42G
SIP-T46G
SIP-T48G

They all have the same problem: one day when I wanted to log in to one of them and change some settings, I couldn't even though I used the right password. I tried it with the other devices, but almost everywhere I have the same behavior.

Can someone explain what is happening?

Are the phones remotely provisioned?
If so, ensure that the password is not changed on the remote provisioning server.

sound silly but have you tried loading the admin page in a different browser? Or incognito mode

Any solutions for this? I'm having the same problem with a T48S. On the phone I can login without a problem, but from my computer I get a bad ID/PW error.

I even changed the password on the phone itself, to be 100% sure I had the right one, but had the same issue. Tried Chrome, incognito mode, Edge, and Firefox.

Add me to the list of another user experiencing this -- me with a bunch of T29G phones. Suddenly, the web interface won't let me log in -- says that the known valid password is incorrect.

Me too. I have three (non-provisioned) T48Ss and ALL OF A SUDDEN, I cannot login to one of them using the web portal- "Incorrect username or password!" All three T48Ss are configured BASICLLY the same, with same Firmware (66.86.0.15) and Hardware (65.0.0.2.0.0.16). I can, however, successfully enter the password using the phone itself via MENU / ADVANCED, and even change the password. I can still log into my other two T48Ss via the web portal. All 3 have the same username (admin) and the same custom password.

What's the issue???? All of a sudden, it seems the phone's web portal has corrupted. I was able to login into all three of my T48S web portals MANY times before. Also logging in as "user", "user" also fails. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

UPDATE: Great news. I simply rebooted the phone (BASIC menu -> scroll down to REBOOT and reboot) and then I was able to login to the web portal. Who would have thought of something so simple. I was racking my brain for hours.

For anyone that might come across this... I opened a ticket with support on this (specifically for some T29G models that were doing this) and their response was that it was a known issue that was fixed in the latest firmware. (For me, with the T29G, that is 46.83.0.160.) I was running the previous version.

If anyone is experiencing this issue, can you tell us what phone and firmware you are running? Anyone having this with the latest firmware for their model?
