BLF on DSS key flashing constantly

Yes - it seems my 3cx template is not correct.
Post 3 should work fine - but add the value in the Features -> Call Pickup and enable it.

I think i have been looking in the wrong place, sorry. The handsets are setup with 8 DSS keys configured as BLF. So are monitoring other extensions. so thats 14 handsets with 8 BLFs, totalling 112 notifications ate any one time. I have read elsewhere that Asterisk has a limit of 100, or its not recommended to go above 100. I think thats where the fault lies.

My only issue is I can't find a way to increase the limit or reduce the time that these notifications are in a queued state.

I went with the 'the hardware is at fault' route first, sorry.

Anyone come across this?

asterisk has a known issue where once a BLF is queued it can stay that way forever.. there is a patch for it, I dont know what release you are using, but asterisk changed the behaviour so if a BLF became queued, it would again work when the phone resubscribed, we patched our 1.8.15 certified installs and it fixed the issue of BLF's not working. we set our subscription timeouts at 5 minutes so worst case a BLF could die for 5 minutes but then would be back online.

Yes I found some info regarding this 'feature'. We are using Asterisk version 11.15.0 and I can't see a patch or anything. I did reduce the maxexpiry from 3600 to 240 but it caused an issue where phones that were members of the queue would ring for about 8 or so seconds after a call had been answered. So I put it back to 3600.

I just can't win!

So I am pretty confident that this is the issue, but reducing the number of BLFs on the handsets is now not an option as the users love having the feature, damn!
