Then, when you hit the "transfer" 70 dss key, it should put the caller on hold, dial 70, play the message to you, and THEN you hit transfer again to connect the caller to the lot and your phone should automatically hang up.

Thanks, Yes that was it, it was set to Blind Transfer, now set it to Attended Transfer and seems to work. Maybe the Call Park function would work if this was set this way before. Will need to try.

We are coming from an old Hybrid Panasonic Key type system, where we use to see each phone line. Trying to get a grip on this and make it somewhat the same. So far too many steps, and front desk must know what they are doing with the call before they can move or know where to go with it, and hang up the phone between things, etc. Its real strange right now, as I don't understand what all these types of transfers are and the Yealink ? don't say much more than the name they call it to beging with. Really haven't found a happy place yet. Front desk usually picks up, then puts call on hold, finds the person they want, asks if they want the call. If they do, then the other would pickup on that extension on that line. If they don't we offer customer to go to their voicemail directly or they can continue to hold or we can find someone else to help them.
Is there an explanation of these:
> Semi-Attend Transfer Disabled Enabled
> Blind Transfer On Hook Disabled Enabled
> Semi Attend Transfer On Hook Disabled Enabled
> Transfer on Conference Hang up Disabled Enabled
> Transfer Mode Via Dsskey Attended Transfer

In our offices, we would like to use the Blind Transfer mode on the DSS Keys, but still have the Parking Lot number read back to the internal user who has parked the call. We are using T38G phones. (I can repost this to a different sub-forum if preferred.)

Our parking extension is 750, parking lot slots are 751 through 759.

Currently, if the DSS key is setup as Type=Call Park & Value=750, the call is parked. e.g., if no calls are already parked, then the current call gets parked at 751 and the BLF for 751 turns from green to red. HOWEVER, the slot number is NOT announced to the person parking the call.

If the person parking the call does a blind transfer using the FreePBX/Asterisk feature code, ##750, then the slot number is read back. Note that this is a bit counterintuitive, given the workaround above. It also suggests that blind transfers should work for this purpose.

I have not been able to produce the correct behavior using any combination of other button types and dial string values, except plain DTMF. Which is pretty ugly, as the tones are audible on the call.

Please help! We don't want to make all DSS key transfers attended, just so we can make the parking lot buttons work without resorting to in-band DTMF.
