Full Version: T57W randomly rebooting

Hello,

I recently (last 2 months) purchased a new T57W with power supply from Amazon, currently on firmware version 96.86.0.70.

The phone will randomly power off and restart (often times when on the actual phone). There doesn't seem to be any pattern to the time of it happening. I also have an EXP50 attached, and have tried removing it to see if the power draw is an issue with the sidecar, but the issue persists. The phone is connected via Ethernet to a non-poe switchport

YeaLink Power Adapter: YLPS052000B1-US
Input: 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz 0.5A
Output: 5V 2A

Things I have tried:
-Factory Reset
-Roll back firmware
-Disable IPV6

Not that it should matter, but my SIP account is configured to use my QuestBlue extension, and there is no auto-provisioning service from this particular provider. The phone itself works fine (when it's on) and there are no issues with connectivity.

Any ideas?

Thank you
Have you ruled out an issue with the power outlet (or power source), like some other device connected to the same outlet that has an uptime of more days?

Is the phone in a properly placed position and the power cable in a secured path to the power outlet, without the risk of it being moved/shifted around?

Next best thing might be to connected a USB flash drive (since the local syslog won't last over a reboot), enable USB Auto Exporting Syslog, and set the syslog level to 5 (or 6) and when it occurs again, unplug the USB and try to see if there is anything in the syslog right before it happened (in case it's anything software related there should be something there.)

Thanks for the idea - I've got some log captures, though I'm not sure how to interpret them (level 5). Would you be able to help me make sense of them if I post the results here?

Not sure but it can't hurt to try to post it (with the details of when the restart happened so it can be corelated with the logs.)

But why did you go right to the bottom of my post? I asked two other things before that.
Hello !

Since last friday, we got the same problem on T57W phones we got.

We did factory reset, nothing change.

It randomly restart (between once 1 hour and many times in few minutes).

I've exported logs (level 6 logging) but I can't find anything which could help me to find the origin of the problem.

Firmware is 96.86.0.45 and I can't upgrade with 96.86.0.70 due to hardware version.

IPBX server is Xivo Jabbah 2022.10.05 and OS server is Debian 11 with latest updates.

Phones worked like a charme until last friday.

Does anyone has resolved this kind of of problem ?

Best regard,

Damien.
