Hi, V80 firmware of T4x and new T2x(T21_E2/T23/T27/T29) will support EDK feature will allow users customize a softkey.
The feature is possible to be achieved at that time.
EDK feature won't be added in first relased of V80, it will be added in an enhanced release of V80.

James, there have been several releases of V80 including 28.80.0.70. When will this get done? We have waited much too long now.

I can't count the number of customers I have lost or didn't want to have two ways of putting a call on hold. They want one way to put calls on hold and be able to grab them from anywhere or page and have someone else pickup. I have basically told clients to buy a different system because its not worth the grief later. I do wish Yealink could understand the importance of this feature and finally deliver a version with this. It has been more than a year, and my clients still ask me for it now. Asking when....

Don't know what else to do, but try to keep the thread alive with a bump, like you did.

I am about to lose a large customer over this as well. They think we are incompetent because we can't make the hold button put calls on hold and it is a training issue for them.

Totally agree with you, it's very frustrating. No one wants to have to train someone to think about which way a call is going to go in advance. Making the Hold button on the phone be the call park feature is what we need to be able to do to solve this issue.

Beginning to wonder if we are being understood? EDK was added in v81.20. However this is to customize the softkeys from what I can see? What we have been asking for is a way to customize the hardkey HOLD button to Park a Call as a form of HOLD. So we need a way to program the hardkey HOLD to do functions like a DSSkey, when the phone is off the hook or in use. If there is a way to do this already, we all would like to know.
