W73P dect phone not allowing to auto-provision as different extension

Hope someone can assist me please.

When trying to auto-provision a dect phone W73P with broadsoft, the phone registers successfully. However, we would like to auto-provision it with a different extension, and for some reason even after factory resetting the phone, when we provision the phone it somehow retains the same extension and overwrites the number that we trying to register it with. We have factory reset and rebooted the phone multiple times with the same result.

We are using a customized MAC and Y config file. Is there possibly a setting in the template files that's enabling the phone to store user information? So even though we provision it with a different number, it will overwrite it with the information that's stored.

The only time it allows the phone to register the phone with a new number is when we replace the MAC file on BroadSoft.
