T53W, USB flash drive format

I have tried connected two different working flash drives to a new T53W and am getting am error message, "Incorrect filesystem, please use FAT32". I have fully formatted the drives to FAT32 and have also tried NTFS (Admin Guide says it can be either format). No joy.

Any ideas? thx
