In the Menu (make sure to have the 96.85.0.95 firmware, in the newer 96.86.0.70 I don't see this option) go to Status > Phone Mode and switch it to DECT-DDPhone, then after a reboot (which it prompts you to do) it should be in DECT mode and ask to register to base.

This setting can also be found in the web GUI:
