T46G and openvpn

Hi I'm relatively new at T46's but I know even less about configuring them for VPN. I have used both the openvpn and the yealink guides with a t46 and t28 model ip phone. I have not been able to successfully connect either of the phones to the vpn. Is there a better guide than the sunnystate guide. I've followed that one too and to no avail. Or is someone able to walk me through what I'm doing wrong?
