Yeah, that's identical to how we do it, except we are using a Linksys gateway to the paging unit instead of your Snom. Sorry, can't help more with your original question.

Off topic, but I would be interested in seeing your Snom config. I have the PA1 too but wasn't able to get it configured properly.
