I sorry to tell you the BT40 only be used to connect the bluetooth headset, don't support to connect the laptops curretly.
If you have Yealink phone to test now, you can test connect the network cable to the Internet port of phone, the connect the pc port to your laptop. Becasue Yealink phone can be as a small switch. For more detailed network settings you should ask your network administrator for help. I am not sure it can work in your network, please have a try.
