It seems 3cx now will supply the firmware for the phones and will auto-download it when needed.

I have the same problem, the only concern I have is that most of the 3cx ones don't include the multicast. If you look at the following folder
ftp://ftp.yealink.com/00.Firmwares/T3X/3CX/ username/password yealinkftp

the new version is there for the T38 but not the T32.
