You need to wait for Yealink's normal release cycle, which can be anywhere from several weeks to a month or two. The last release for the T28 (2.72.0.30) was 5 March 2014, so the next release could be within the next few weeks.

New releases include many other bug fixes and feature requests, and they need to be fully tested before release. It would be silly for Yealink to release a firmware update that just fixes the BLF issue.

Be patient and give them time to do their work.

Do we know for sure that this issue will be resolved with the new upgrade? I have heard that before with the previous upgrades and they did not fix the problem with the BLF lights.

This is still not fixed in the latest T28P firmware 2.72.0.80

After testing 2.72.0.80 and finding BLF pickup was not functioning, I had to go back to 2.61.0.80.rom

BTW, it is working fantastic on the T22P handsets. It would be much appreciated if the same could be done to the T28

we need a solution for T26P phones and also T4x series

It looks like this could be tentatively fixed on the latest T28 firmware (2.73.0.40).

I loaded it onto one of our T28s and so far it looks promising. I performed a few internal tests and BLF pickup seems to be working.

I'll report back after a few more days of testing.
