Of course, this shouldn't be the case.

There is no white button on the right side of the display.
There are two 2-color LED indicators (red/green).
If the indicator lights up green, this means that the account is correctly set up and working.
If the indicator remains off (white button?) then there is something wrong with registering the telephone with the telephone provider.
I suggest checking all settings carefully.
