Call Waiting: ring speaker on second call
hello,

I have a Yealink T20 (Firmware Version 9.71.0.140, Hardware Version 7.0.1.61).
I have a problem with the service Call Waiting, I wish that on the second call, the phone rings from the speaker, not in the handset.

Features ---> General Information -> Call Waiting = enable
Features ---> General Information -> Call Waiting Tone = enable
Features ---> General Information -> Ringer Device for Headset = speaker

How can I do?

Thanks.

Andrea

RE: Call Waiting: ring speaker on second call
Andrea this feature has been requested multiple times, but I dont believe that as of now Yealink has chosen to add it in to their phones. Having an audible signal that is loud enough for coworkers to hear is great if they are providing call coverage for you. This has been a standard feature for decades on traditional key systems and PBX's. I believe that the only way to get the call waiting signal currently is through the handset or headset.

RE: Call Waiting: ring speaker on second call
Yes, unfortunately, it doesn't seem to use the speaker, but instead uses the handset if you are using it (different than a "headset" - your other choice).

To change the tone, I went into Phone-> Tones
I selected custom

Then I put this under call waiting
0/100,500/100,0/100,500/100,0/100,500/100,0/5000,0/100,500/100,0/100,500/100,0/100,500/100,0/15000

It gives two short little pulses 5 seconds apart to let the caller know there is another call coming in. The numbers are the tone and duration. Its going 0 tone (inaudbile) for 100 ms, tone 500 ("boop") for 100ms... it does this three times, then pauses for 5 seconds, then repeats one more time, then waits 15 seconds (which means the call goes to VM).
