Microphone gain - T46G
Hi, I have received some comments that sound from my end is a bit low, is there a way to turn up the gain on the mic (without causing an echo issue)? Thanks.

Hi PACPAC,
Do you use handset or speaker phone? Maybe you should get close to the phone when speaking, and adjust the volume a little louder.
Thanks.

This is when I am using the handset. Possible to adjust the sensitivity of the handset mic?

Hi Pacpac,
You can adjust the mic volume via auto provisioning:
------------------------------------
#Configure the sending volume of Speaker, Handset and Headset. It ranges from 1 to 53, the default values are 25, 35, 29.
#Require reboot;
voice.handfree_send =
voice.handset_send =
voice.headset_send =
------------------------------------

Thanks, how would I do that? This is for one phone only.

Got to work! Installed Tftpd64 on my Windows 7 machine, set the tftp directory, placed the Yealink common.cfg file there, renamed to y000000000028.cfg and configured the W7 machine IP in the phone. Works just perfect (tested a few parameters and increased mic sensitivity).

Is it possible also with the speaker phone?
My clients often complain that they can not hear me.

This needs to be adjustable via the web config like in the t38g. I don't want to deal with creating and uploading config files as it is stupid and annoying for general end users. I large deployments I can see this being a great feature but its too much hassle for end user who use these devices at home or in a home office. Just because Yealink is growing they need to be sure they don't forget about the general end user and the home office user.

You are not alone I too have complained about the Handset mic and Speakerphone sensitivity. Simply put everyone has different needs for the mic sensitivity to be at different levels. The best way to suit this need is to simply make it adjustable. I hope to see it in v73.

RE: Microphone gain - T46G
is it possible to do it this way ?

1) export config from web interface. This saves the phone's config as a TAR file

2) modify a file in the TAR file (which one??)

3) recreate the TAR file

4) import the config in the web interface.

That would save me from having to configure tftp/dhcp/etc.. to have a working provisioning...

If it's possible that way, which parameter in which file should be modified in the archive ?

Because, according to firmware V73beta2 provisioning template :

### Only T28P/T26P/T22P/T20P Models support the three parameters^M
voice.handfree_send = ^M
voice.handset_send = ^M
voice.headset_send = ^M

(and I cannot find any other parameter in that file which could be related to the mic's gain...).

Thanks for your help!
