Struggling with BLF
We are looking to replace Cisco SPA phones with T26 but can't get BLF working. This is connected to Asterisk.

The BLF setup on the Cisco SPA works perfectly. Example setting:
fnc=blf+sd+cp;sub=1592@asterisk.server.com;nme=1592

On the Yealink I've set
DSS Key 1
Type: BLF
Value: 1592
Line: Line 1
Extension: 1592

Line 1 is registered and can make and receive calls successfully.

I don't see any subscribe message being sent from the phone to the server for 1592. What am I doing wrong?

Any advice appreciated.

Hi Kjcsb,
1. What's the firmware of T26P are you using now?
2. So after you configure the BLF, the DSS key of BLF doesn't light up?
3. What about if you configure BLF manually by webpage or LCD, but not via auto provisioning?
Thanks.

Hi
1. I think it's 7. something - sorry don't have access to the phone right now.
2. DSS key doesn't light up
3. I'm configuring it through the webpage.

RE: Struggling with BLF
Hi Kjcsb,
For such issue, we need the log for analyzing.
1. What's the Yealink model and firmware are you using now?
2. Could you provide PCAP trace, syslog(level 6) and config.bin file to us, so we can analyze?
Before you export the syslog, please set log level as 6, and reboot the phone, then click Start,and reproduce the issue, then click Stop,and export the trace, syslog, config,bin to us.
(About where to export these files, please refer to attached screenshot.)
These three files are very important for us, hope you can kindly understand.
4. Is it possible also to provide Cisco trace for us reference?
Thanks.

RE: Struggling with BLF
Hi Kjcsb,

I'm going to assume you have hints configured in 'extensions.conf'.

In 'sip.conf', under your Yealink settings, add the following:

allowsubscribe=yes
subscribecontext=(your hint context from extensions.conf)
notifyringing=yes
notifyhold=yes
call-limit=7 ; six lines keys + notify

For some odd reason, you have to have 'call-limit' set to more than 1. I've found this to be true in Asterisk 1.8 and 11.
