accidental call forward T20
I have a problem with some users in a instalation .

Sometimes some extensions ( T20 ) apear as a "forward to xxxx " when xxxx is another extension. The user tell to us ( IT Staff ) that they didn`t touch anything

What kind of "hidden code" that can activate the call fwd function ?

Regards

RE: accidental call forward T20
Hi Akronis,
There are several way to active this forward function:
1. In the webpage-Features-Forward
2. In the LCD-Menu-Features-Call Forward
3. Server provide a forward feature code, for example, you press *8 then the phone will active forward feature, you press *9 the phone will deactive forward feature.
In this case, you can ask your administrator for this feature code.
Thanks.

RE: accidental call forward T20
In this case we want to disable the ability for the user to "forward· the phone accidentally , is this possible?

We are in a asterisk enviroment ,so to do a call forward server based they must dial a lot of numbers ( *xx + extension etc )
and this feature is disabled in the server .

We think this is a firmware bug ? Version 9.60.0.140

RE: accidental call forward T20
Hi Akronis,
Please upgrade to our latest firmware 9.70.0.140 and check again:
http://www.yealink.com/Upload/firmware/T....0.140.zip
And could you disable forward feature on these phones via auto provisioning?
-----------------------------------
#!version:1.0.0.1
forward.always.enable = 0
forward.busy.enable = 0
forward.no_answer.enable =0

RE: accidental call forward T20
Just a notice: I don't know if with V70 firmware it works the same, but at least with V61 firmware, you may still read "forwarded to xxx" also after you already disabled forwarding. I think in case the phone actually forwarded a call, this text appears in the place of the usual "x lost calls", to inform you it has forwarded at least one call. Just press up arrow (calls list) and exit, and the message will be gone.
To know if forwarding is currently active or not, refer to the forwarding icon, not to that text.

PS: Quick way to enable/disable total forwarding: TRAN or FORWARD key: you may tell your users to just press that key again if they notice they have the forwarding icon on.

RE: accidental call forward T20
In my auto prov config files ( mac xxx.cfg ) i have this configuration parameter who refer to Forward feature.

[ Forward ]
path = /config/Features/Forward.cfg
Type = 0
AlwaysForward =
BusyForward =
NoAnswerForward =
AfterRingTimes = 10
Active = 0
BusyNoAnswerForward =
BusyNoAfterRingTimes = 10

Y must put "0" in the

AlwaysForward =
BusyForward =
NoAnswerForward =

?

Thanks

I suppose you may try a such thing. However, I don't know if that would prevent users from changing forwarding options on the phone (and if the user would change it, I can imagine the provisioning value would be re-applied only when the phone will perform provisioning again).

And however, I suppose that totally prohibiting call forwarding (if possible) just to avoid random errors would be overkill: call forwarding can be a very useful feature.

RE: accidental call forward T20
The only way to forward the phone across the keys menu is in menu-features-callforward ?

Perhaps they really try to "transfer" the call to a desired extension but accidentaly they "forward" the calls , maybe that's because of some strange behavior of transfer key

We try make some changes and reply

Thanks

RE: accidental call forward T20
IIRC, the "TRAN" or "FORWARD" key acts as "transfer the current call" if you press it during an active call... while acts as "always forward on/off" (causing "forwarding" icon appear and disappear) if you press it while there are no active calls.

RE: accidental call forward T20
Hello all,
Sorry i am not understand well.
If you didn't configure the forward number in the phone, even you press forward/transfer button, the phone will not forward to any number.
Hi Mauro,
So now you mean your users phone always display forward icon? And they will forward all the calls to other phones?
Is it because they configure the forward feature on the phone? And you said you already disable forward feature on server? So maybe they use forward feature code to enable this feature on the server?
Sorry could you clarify that what help you need now? And what's the firmware are you using now?
Thanks.
