Incoming Call Handling
Hello,

I am evaluating the T46G model of phone. I have found that I do not receive proper notification of an inbound call while on an existing call. Once I hang up the phone the display will show the missed calls. I believe that this is possibly due to my programming.

Currently I have two different accounts loaded on the phone in #1 and #2 positions. I was looking for a way to program the keys to use a specified account to give me the multiple appearances needed for proper notification.

Am I on the right track? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Isaac

Hi Isaac,
I found you post many issues in the Forum Smile
Could you let us know where are you from? And where you buy the phone from? So i can suggest special technical support team for you to provide a better support.
And you can also send the email to our support@yealink.com, thanks.

I find that posting out in the open not only helps me but others as well to solve a particular issue. This also helps you the manufacturer create a better product, increase trust and brand perceptions.

Based in the US, I have purchased thru many different authorized distributors.

Briefly after posting this message I found what i was looking for after poking around the phone for a bit.

To add additional call appearances:

  1. Login as admin to the phones webgui.
  2. Click on the "DSS Key" Tab on top.
  3. Click on the "Line Key 1-9" on the left.
This will open the first 9 programmable softkeys.
  4. For each Line Key row is a slot as a Soft/Display key.
The first column is the type of key, line, speeddial, blf, etc.
In this case we select Line for the type.
  5. In the next column titled Value select float.
The difference between float and fixed is when fixed is selected the key is always visible between screen pages.
  6. In the column titled Line this is the account to use. It is a bit confusing at first glance.
(Yealink please change label from Line to Account.)
So to create an appearance for Account 1 select Line 1, Account 2 select Line 2..etc.
  7. Repeat in each Line Key row for each call appearance you wish to add.
  8. Dont forget to press the Confirm button to save the settings.

That did it for me. Hope this helps someone else as well.

-Isaac

RE: Incoming Call Handling
Hi Isaac,
Oh, i understand your meaning now. And thanks for your sharing. Smile
You are correct, when you select Float in the Value field, the phone will automatically switch to the page the line key locates, when the line key receives an incoming call.
Thanks.
