T46 Locked

Hello-

Someone gave me a T46 and it is locked. By that I mean that I cannot factory default it. When I press and hold the OK button, it asks for a password. How can I factory default this phone?

The way to reset it would probably be by doing a recovery (but even then you need to make sure it's not on Yealink's RPS.)

Turns out that it is an 8X8 phone, if that helps

If it's still with 8x8 and you have access to the account, you can get the admin password from their portal, see https://support.8x8.com/cloud-phone-serv...-passwords (the MAC password.)

Otherwise you can try to call 8x8 to see if they will give you the password (which they have.)

If you don't have access and they don't want to give it to you, then TFTP recovery is the only option as mentioned above.

Hello. I also have a problem with T46U phone. Strange this is, that once I did factory reset on it (trying to set up new provisioning) I am no longer able to access it via address bar and admin portal. Funny thing is, old password for logging in was admin / admin but after reset I can no longer use admin/admin. Is there some other password? Thank you
