Yealink T42S and T42G Phone stuck at Welcome

Good Morning and Happy new Year !

I've seen there is a similar topic, and decided to make a new one, because i posted from month but get no answer.

In my company we have some 5000 Yealink Phones (T42G, T42S, T49, T19,...), most of the phones are T42S and T42G.
And a non neglectable number of T42S and T42G sometimes remains stuck at Welcome screen.

I've tried to restore factory settings, but not worked, phones still stucked.
What is the procedure to recover the use of these phones ?

I hope i'll get some tips to solve that.

The TFTP recovery procedure is quite straight forward, Google "Yealink TFTP recovery" and check the guide from 888voip (can't post a link, cuz the forum's spam detection might block me.)

Thanks for your answer.
I ve tried with 2 TFTP sofware and get same issue.

After getting the good .rom from Yealink page, we have to rename it in :
T42.rom for T42G
or
T42S.rom for T42S

After with the 2 TFTP software i get the same messages :
'T42S.rom' of type 'octet' is requested from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (<- Phone ip address i have setup)
TFTP:3: File too large
'T42S.bin' of type 'octet' is requested from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (<- Phone ip address i have setup)
>> 1: File not found (<- i don t have a .bin file so ...)
'T42S.rfs' of type 'octet' is requested from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (<- Phone ip address i have setup)
>> 1: File not found (<- i don t have a .bin file so ...)

I ve tried with 2 other T42G with the good firmware, and get the same issue.

Is there a way to get the other files (.bin, .rfs) from the official site ?

For the T42S.bin File not found and T42S.rfs File not found, I'd bet that in the TFTP root location there is no such files. Perheps you only have there the T42G.rfs and T42G.bin (G not S, that this phone is.)

You can hey the typical recovery files for all the models in the aforementioned guide from 888voip.

Ok i found files on official Yealink site.

For those who searching for :
- make an account on Yealink site
- take the firmware from the support
- on the support page (where you get the firmware), there is a button "Ticket" at the up of the page)
- Select "hardware defects"
- fill the fields
- when u put the MAC adress and select
Fault : Boot Failure
Fault Phenomenon : Stuck...

There is a link under "Test result" that permit to get the recovery files and a pdf with instructions.

So, it s sure you ll get official firmware and files from Yealink.

Yes, it worked fine
I've tried some T42G and T42S with respective good files, and i ve recovered the phones !

Thanks again for your answers, it give me some clues to the procedure and official files to search, and PumpKIN is good and easy TFTP server !
