T58A and Plantronics DECT CS540A
Hello everybody,

I am unable to get the Plantronics CS540A headset to work with the T58A. I have the EHS40 adapter. You can make calls, but you cannot accept and hang up calls. If you want to take a call on the headset, you can hear the click of the relay in the DECT base. But the signal is not passed to the phone. What am I doing wrong here.

I look forward to your answers.
Alex

Nobody really uses a T58 with a Plantronics headset and the EHS 40 adapter.
It annoys me extremely that you cannot take calls on the headset.

Hi,

I suspect this Plantronics is not compatible with the T58A.
Have you checked the pdf-file on the webpage
https://support.yealink.com/documentFron...mentId=261
Teams-Tested headset list compatible with Yealink IP phone.pdf

Kind regards,
Frank.

I've been having the same issue with my Plantronics C054 with my T58A. It was working, then it stopped. Initially I used the Plantronics APU-75 USB cable with the headset. Now Yealink indicates that the headset is compatible with EHS40 USB cable. I purchased the cable from Amazon, but still not working. Seller advised I check this forum for support. Doesn't look like anyone has had success with this. I am able to connect the headset to my computer and take calls using the Vonage call app. Sort of renders my T58A obsolete for my purposes until I obtain a headset that works with it.

I'm pretty annoyed too. I must have spent more than two hours with Yealink Support. Updating to the latest firmware does not help either.

It is always necessary to answer the call on the phone and on the headset. It's really annoying.
The headset is on Yealink's compatibility list. I bought an EHS adapter to find out that it wasn't working.

It's really extremely annoying. I'm actually very happy with the Plantronics headset. The parts are not ***** either. So I don't see why I should throw the headset away.
Yealink is simply supposed to offer a solution to the problem.

I didn't do anything wrong. I bought the adapter and am using a headset that has been approved by Yealink. Point. And now I am waiting for a solution.

Hello schmidt_as,

You may want to look at the headset configuration options in the "Administrator’s Guide for VP59 & SIP-T58A & CP960 IP Phones V85 1". On page 161, there are some settings that you can configure that should assist you. I would also suggest looking at the setup manual for the headset, specifically the troubleshooting section. With most Poly/Plantronics headsets, there is a mode selection that you may have to adjust for your specific phone. I would also suggest checking to see if that model of headset can be managed by the Plantronics Hub software, there may be an update for it as well.
