Question W60B and W54H can't handle simultaneous calls... Need help
Hello,

I set up Yealink W60B and 4 W56H handset with Aircall (VoIP provider) and everything works like a charm, EXCEPT the fact that when an other call is made while one is currently going on, the other handset are not ringing.

Ex : Customer A calls -> All 4 handsets ring, one of them take the call.

Then, while customer A is on the phone, customer B is calling. There is a ring tone for him, like if it was ringing for real on the other side, but unfortunately, everything stays quiet, not a single handset is ringing.

If I end the call with customer A while customer B is still hanging ringing, then all the handset start ringing again. It's the very last step to get my solution working like a charm :-)

Anyone can help ?

Hi Bobby,

Let me guess... you have setup the W60P with only one SIP account and the 4 handsets are connected with that account.
Yes? Then this will not work.
If you want the handsets to ring on an incoming call, then each handset must have it's own account.

Kind regards,
Frank.

Hi complex1,

Thanks for the quick answer ! If I understand well, it means that :

1) There is a "main" phone number where all the calls will be directed. All handset will ring and one of them take the call, regardless of the phone line linked to it.
2) When there is a second call, it will ring on the other handsets but the call will be directed to an other phone line where the number is not displayed to customer B.
3) When I initiate a call from any one of the handset, it will display the primary phone number to the customer, regardless of the phone line attached to the handset.

Am I right ? Thanks for your kind help !

What @complex1 is writing is true as for using several VOIP devices / phones.
(E.g. a desktop phone with its own SIP account).

But not so as for several wireless DECT hand sets.
Base Station can use just one SIP-account.
But all hand sets should allow to make there own call by the same SIP-account.

At least in my situation I have a normal work around by that.
Just made a test again, and all is running like that.

Test 1 - calling by mobile phone to SIP account A ===> all hand sets ringing
I just take the call, so open connection.

Test 2 - calling by a desktop phone (total different line / number and SIP account)
to SIP account A ===> the other DECT hand sets are ringing.
I just can take the call, so open connection by a second hand set.

So two different open calls, just using the same "SIP account A" by the base station.

This is one of the advantages of a DECT solution, in opposite to e.g. separate desktop phones.

Sounds like the number of simultaneous calls per handset/registered sip account on the phone may be set to 1.
You can log into the WebUI of the W60 Base, go to Account > Advanced > scroll to the bottom, its the last setting.
I would also check Features > General Information >> Call Waiting, it may not be enabled.
Regarding these options, you may also want to confirm with your ITSP (VoIP) provider to see if they support them or not.
Some ITSP's do not include Call Waiting by default and may not allow more than one call per device/user at a time.
