Forward call before answering
Hi everybody,

I have an T48S and am trying to transfer an incoming call before actually answering it, so that when I'm busy I can send the caller to our front desk instead of picking up or sending him to my mailbox via DND or mute.

When I press the forward softkey during an incoming call, I can select a VoIP target, but the call never gets transfered. Instead, the caller still hears a ring and ultimately gets send to my voicemail.

Is there even a way to transfer incoming calls before picking up?

Hi Oliver,

I think the way you handle an incoming call is wrong.
If the phone is already ringing and you wanted to forward the call you are to late.
You must have set up the phone to forward all incoming calls before you are called.

thanks for your answer. What I meant was transfer, not forward the call. I'm basically looking for a possibility to transfer selected incoming calls to another VoIP target before even picking up the phone.

With our old system (which was analog) I could just press "Decline" on my phone when I didn't want to be disturbed and the incoming call was automatically transferred to another preset number. Maybe due to how VoIP works this is no longer possible?

Hi Oliver,

What you can try is:
No Answer Forward: “On”
After Ring Time: 6s
Target: <phone extension>

Now when you phone is ringing and you don’t pick up the phone within 6 seconds the call will be forwarded to the number which is set up in the Target field.
No need to press any button, just wait 6s.

The settings can be found:
Features > Forward & DND > No Answer Forward
