Custom DSS Keys on T5 Series ( T54W )

Where did the Custom DSS key option go?

On my T52, I had that option, it was Type 73.
Now on the T54W, I cant seem to create a custom key anymore, the value options grayed out.

I wanted to create a key with delays for reaching VM with password included

Example:

VoiceMail Access + Wait 5 seconds + Password ( 1234 )
5001$Cwc$$Cp5$1234$Tdtmf$

Has that option be removed in new firmware, or renamed?

Hi JohnJ,

Custom Key and Custom are not the same key type. I believe the T54W also has separately the Custom Key type.

The Custom type is a new type on the Android based phones. Yealink once explained it to me in a ticket:

Quote:And the dss key feature ”Custom” is used for the third party to configure dss key. It is used for SDK development on Android system.

Just making sure you didn't miss the point.

The PDF is about how to use that new Custom key type for SDK development. This is not what you were looking for.

In your case, just go to the phone and find the other key type Custom Key.
