Webacces over VPN
Hello.
I have setup an openvpn connection with a Yealink t46g.
Everthing is working fine, the phone registers over the VPN etc.
But I also want to do remote configuration and I cannot acces the phone's webpage over the vpn connection
The VPN IP of the phone is 172.16.2.2 when I go to the http I get this error:

Domain [ 172.16.2.2 ] is not trusted !

How can I fix this? It would be nice if I can remote service this phone.

Thanks in advance.

Paul

I'm trying to start the conversation here again as I get no answer in the ticket support.
The issue has not been resolved.
Short overview from the Ticket
The phone does reply on ping (on the VPN IP), http and https is enabled
but still when I want to access I get Domain [ 172.16.2.2 ] is not trusted !

Probally cause:
The phone does not add the IP from OpenVPN when it gets assigned to the webservers trused domains.
Question to Yealink, could you check if this is the case and maybe solve it in the next release?

RE: Webacces over VPN
What version of firmware are you running?
We do remote access to phones over VPN all the time, so it's not an ongoing/outstanding issue as far as I'm aware, but I also don't have any 46Gs deployed right now...

Older subject, but maybe still relevant for users:

I guess, you are using "https" instead of using "http"

By today's web browsers, a checks is done for "https"
Normal domain names do have a SSL certificate.
IP addresses (and local LAN IP-adddress) never have a SSL certificate.
As only domain names can have a certificate.
So by that you do get that error when using "https"

RE: Webacces over VPN
For future reference, for us the fix for this problem was setting the following config variable:

Code:
wui.secure_domain_list = any
Best regards, Roel
