T42G Lost admin Password

T42G Lost admin Password
Hi, I have a T42G phone that was configured by my coworker and he is no longer with us, I tried to use the admin/admin password with no luck. Also I tried to reset to factory using the OK button and it also asks for a password

How can I be able to reset to factory default without the admin password!

Hi,

Please try to disconnect the cable from the phone and hard reset the phone by long press OK button. After that, have a try with admin/admin, or admin/(empty).

Thank you so much Complex. When you mean disconnect the cable you mean power cable or network cable? I will try both, mjus tto be sure I wanted to ask you

Hi,

Disconnect both cables, then press and hold the OK button and re-power the phone.
After the phone is reset to factory connect the network cable.
This should do the trick.

i am also having this issue. i have reset the base using the method above and had to reregister the handset so i am not sure this worked but i am still unable to login with admin/admin. this was a brand new unit out of the box.

Are you referring to Yealink W52P DECT?
Yes, than proceed the next steps to factory reset the device:
Disconnect the power cable, but leave the internet cable connected to the base
Press the “Paging Key” than connect the power cable and wait till all LED’s are green.
Disconnect the power cable and release the paging key.
Connect power cable and after reboot the base it is in default state.
Now you can login with the default username/password.
