How to buy additional handset cords?
Hello!

Considering the handset cord is the part which most commonly malfunctions, what should I search for, in order to buy some additional/replacement handset cords for Yealink T20P phones?

Is there some specific official part number to search for? Are there compatible third-party cords? Should any 4-wires RJ11 cable work?

Any 4P4C cord should work between the handset and the deskset.

RJ11 cables are too large typically to fit inside the handset connection.

What about the lead end that plugs into the back of the phone and winds through the retainer tabs?

1. For the Yealink phones, the longer lead to the back of the phone is about 3.5 to 4 inches.
2. The shorter end that connects to the handset is about 1 to 1.5 inches.
3. They also should be black and not charcoal gray.

Its hard to find a reliable supplier that has these cords for the above criteria.

I think you're trying a little too hard there... why not just get a generic one and "unwind" the first few inches so that it traces through the retaining clips/path on the phone body?

Or, if you know you are going to use a lot of them, contact the vendor that you purchase your Yealink equipment from and make a special request to purchase say 100 or 200 at a time. For less than that qty it's not even worth a vendor's effort, but if you buy in sufficient volume anything is worth doing...
