T46S BToE Connector 6.0.12.0 Application on Terminalserver W2016
Hello,

i tried to install Yealink BToE Connector for Lync(6.0.12.0).msi- which is the latest one for T46S- on our w2016 terminalserver. But the program can only be run once. If multiple (more then 1) users try to open the application it always says "Application is already running.."

How can i remove this check so that the application can run in multiple instances ? Is this possible ?

Is this Version (Yealink BToE Connector for Lync 6.0.12.0) Terminalserver-capable ?

Regards
Shai

Hello Shai,

For BToE, normally, it's installed on the computer, and it should link to dedicate Skype for Business phone, I don't think it could be installed on a Terminalserver and for multiple users, as it requires MAC address if the phone.

Let me know if any question.

Regards,
Travis

Hi,

that is exactly the same issue I'm facing. The BToE connector doesn't work on Windows Terminal Server with multiple user session.

@ Travis: This has nothing to do with mac addresses. BToE connector is working fine on Terminal server as long as only one user instance is running.

This is ridiclious since so many poeple are using VDI / Terminal Server services!

C.

Dear customer,

I double confirmed with our SFB product manager, sorry, there is no possible to make BToE works with terminalserver on multiple users.

Hi Travis,

is it contemplate to fix this? These days, almost every company is using terminal server or VDI.

Is it possible to get in contact with womeone from your engineering team?

Thanks for your help,

I have the same problem. Can you please tell me how you got it working with 1 connection.

The older version of the BToE Connector (3.0.0.32) you can connect more than 1 user.

Hi Searchdog,

it doesn't workwith more than one user. I even tried to get it running using Microsoft App-V, but the USB driver which is used still allow only one connection. So I assume they changed something within the driver.

But there are 2 more issues while using BToE via RDP.
1. The remote desktop is causing PC Audio calls on the phone.
2. Even if only one user is using BToE, I'm getting the message "Paired, but signed out".

Are you facing the same issues?

Thanks,
rrzatc

It does work on Terminal Servers and VMWare servers because we had it working for 2 years. I'm not the IT guy but I know that instead of installing it to the server, we installed the BToE client into each user's desktop separately so we could tie it to that user's phone through the MAC address. We could join a meeting or click a phone number and it would immediately light up the local phone and make it dial.

We've since moved from Skype for Business to RingCentral and we are still working out how to run our remote physical phones (Yealink 4T48G) with the RingCentral apps on our user's published desktops. Since RingCentral now has a pretty good integration to the Skype for Business interface, I'm thinking the solution will be to go back to making BToE work for SfB and then hijack it with the RC for SfB app. I'll let you know if we get there.
