would like to share result of my experiments, guess they will be interesting for some of you.
as I mentioned in my previous post I was upgrading T46G from version
28.72.0.205, the only more or less stable v72's subversion I ever tested.
My steps were:
1a. restore 28.72.0.205 fw -> factory reset -> provision on MyBPX -> upgrade to 28.73.0.50 -> Export CFG Configuration File
1b. Factory reset with 28.73.0.50 fw -> provision on MyBPX -> Export CFG Configuration File (v73clean.cfg inside attached zip)
2a. restore 28.72.0.205 fw -> factory reset -> provision on MyBPX -> upgrade to 28.80.0.60 -> Export CFG Configuration File
2b. Factory reset with 28.80.0.60 fw -> provision on MyBPX -> Export CFG Configuration File (v80clean.cfg file inside attached zip)
Neither v73 nor v80 config file exported from newly provisioned v73/v80 phone does not contain any line starting with
"voice."
But both v80 and v73 configs exported from upgraded phone, which was provisioned earlier with 28.72.0.205 fw, had following lines:
v73 upgrade on provisioned v72 phone
voice.headset_send = -32768
voice.handset_send = -32768
voice.handfree_send = -32768
v80 upgrade on provisioned v72 phone
voice.headset_send = -32768
voice.handset_send = -32768
voice.handfree_send = -32768
voice.side_tone = -32768
So, I am going to change values of those parameters to defaults in y000000000028.cfg file
voice.side_tone = %NULL%
voice.headset_send = %NULL%
voice.handset_send = %NULL%
voice.handfree_send =%NULL%
... and try to upgrade T46 again
Next surprise is that
Yealink_SIP-T2_Series_T19P_T4_Series_CP860_IP_Phones_Auto_Provisioning_Guide_V72_28.pdf says following about those 3
"voice.*" parameters (page labeled 114):
quote
only applicable to SIP-T28P, SIP-T26P, SIP-T22P and SIP-T20P IP phones
unquote
and the last confusion for today - same page 114 says that these parameters can be changed via admin web interface, under Features-> Audio section.
But in reality they are NOT there, screenshot is attached ->
