V80 Firmware Audio BUG
Hello,
I upgraded the firmware version V80.
Everything seemed to be ok, as far as configuration and records the trunk to the PBX or to PROVIDER, but I realized that I had only the audio input, the other could not hear my voice.

I have not found anything in the configuration that might be the problem, so I was forced to downgrade to version V73.0.50 and after the downgrade, the voice output has resumed operation.

Now everything works, but I'd hate not being able to update my phone, someone happened?

The problem happened on both the T46G and T42G.

Thanks

RE: V80 Firmware Audio BUG
Same exact problem here with a T41P.

After the upgrade, I've had to make a "Reset to default parameters", wait for the autoprovisioning and now it seems it's working.

Anyway, you should check this to see if it's posible to solve it, because if you want to upgrade an installation with many phones (40, 50, etc.), it's crazy to have to enter in all terminals to do the reset.

do you mean that I 'reset to factory setting'?

I don't have the autoprovisioning, so I can try to export configuration file, upgrade firmware, reset to default and then import my working configuration; this could resolve the issue?

RE: V80 Firmware Audio BUG
Upgraded T48's and T46 to 80 and total disaster, I experienced 4 major problems: (I do not use auto provisioning)

1. No one can hear us from any phone, but we can hear them. Regardless of call direction. This is a SERIOUS bug.

2. After upgrading all local directory entries lost the associated group. All contacts remained but every one lost it's associated group.

3. Using the web browser all contacts were missing, but showed up on the phone (but missing groups). No way to manage contacts from browser.

4. If I power cycle a T48 with 80 FW and restored config from .73: phones NO LONGER Register! Checking the PBX log there is not even an attempt!

My attempts at fixing:
A. Reset 80 to factory settings, then reload config from 73: still no phones would register!

B. Downgraded from 80 to .73: phones register except 1 phone will NOT register even with .73 restored until I did step D below.

C. Install 80, then reset to factory settings, then created account from scratch: registration and sound works.

D. I could only get things back to normal by:
* Install 80 on the phones
* Reset phones to factory settings
* Manually config everything
* Reinstall ringtones
* Reinstall wallpaper pictures, and...
* I had to put groups back on every local directory entry on one phone then export/import to other phones, very time consuming!

So upgrading from 73 to 80 is a mess. If you have more than a few phones 80 can be a disaster so make sure to test every function on each phone, you may be luckier than I was.

I have done many Yealink updates over the last few years and they were very good except for one issue, but 80 should not have gotten out the door.

i am also very disappointed that this update did not include my suggestions to not display empty DSS slots (http://forum.yealink.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1728) and allow more number descriptions (http://forum.yealink.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1731) in the directory (at least "home"!)

RE: V80 Firmware Audio BUG
V80 has a serious one way audio problem. Upgraded 20 phones at a site from 28.73.0.50. All phones had one way audio problem. This is not NAT related. Will not reset phones to factory settings. This is just crazy. Had to fall back to 73. All fine again.

RE: V80 Firmware Audio BUG
I have seen the same problems as the former posters with several T41P and T42G phones. All upgraded phones needed a factory reset to make them work again.
Please fix that otherwise a firmware change ends in a disaster :-(.

BTW: I use autoprovisioning. But only for the basic stuff.
Update 2015.08.05: Definitely NO "voice.xx" parameters!

Michael

RE: V80 Firmware Audio BUG
did pilot manual upgrade of 2 phones (T42G & T46G) from v72 to v80. made successful test call from T42G, both ways audio is OK, but forgot to test T46G.
Last night upgraded 32x T46G, remotely from home (using Yeastar MyPBX U500 autoprovisioning). Today morning - complains from all T46G users, all have issue with audio.
Did factory reset of one of phones and autoprovisioned again - one way audio issue got fixed.
Then downgraded back to v73 in bulk (using Yeastar MyPBX U500 autoprovisioning). All phones got fixed

PBX: Yeastar MyPBX U500
Gateways: NeoGate TG800, NeoGate TA1610
IP phones: Yealink SIP-T23/T32/T42/T46/VP530P/CP860
VoIP adapters: Linksys SPA2102

RE: V80 Firmware Audio BUG
Hello all,

Sorry for the inconvenience. If you meet one way audio issue in V80 firmware, please import the attached voice.cfg file under setting-> Configuration-> Import CFG file.

The issue is caused by some wrong voice parameter. But as default, V73 firmware won't write those voice parameter to it's config.bin unless through autoprovision.

Did you use autoprovision to change any voice parameter?

Thanks!
James

RE: V80 Firmware Audio BUG
As it states in my first sentence above I do not use auto provision.
