Trying to get uaCSTA to work
Hey,

I'm working with a T46G here, and I'm trying to get a uaCSTA session going. However, it doesn't appear to understand my request. When I send an INVITE request like this:

Quote:INVITE sip:001565A9E5AA@192.168.1.120:5060 SIP/2.0
Via: SIP/2.0/TCP 192.168.1.118:5060;branch=z9hG4bK123
From: CSTA Endpoint <sip:csta-ep@192.168.1.118:5060>; tag=abc
To: <sip:001565A9E5AA@192.168.1.120>
Contact: CSTA Endpoint <sip:csta-ep@192.168.1.118:5060>
Content-Type: application/csta+xml
CSeq: 1 INVITE
Content-Disposition: signal; handling=required
Max-Forwards: 111
Allows: REGISTER, INVITE, INFO, ACK
Supported: replaces, timer
User-Agent: CSTA Service
Content-Length: 188
Call-ID: uaoduoaisd@192.168.1.118:5060

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<RequestSystemStatus xmlns="http://www.ecma-international.org/standards/ecma-323/csta/ed3" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"/>

It simply gives me a 100 Trying response, and then a 180 Ringing response. Then the phone actually starts ringing and when I pick it up I get regular SDP responses. In other words, it seems like the phone doesn't recognize my request as a CSTA request?

Can anyone point out what is incorrect, or tell me what the phone expects from a uaCSTA request?

Help is much appreciated!

Hi,

May I know what's the firmware version you are using?
Our V81 firmware supports uaCSTA feature.

Travis

Hi Danny,

please kindly offer us trace files for further analysis as below:
a. Level 6 syslog
b. PCAP trace
c. Config.bin
You can get the guide from this link to see how to export the issue data(trace files):
http://support.yealink.com/faq/faqInfo?id=311

BTW, may I know:
1. how many Yealink phones do you have? what kinds of types are them?
2. how many phones have the same issue?
these info will help us to identify your issue class.

I will submit this case to our R&D team and ask them to help you check.

Regards,
Travis

RE: Trying to get uaCSTA to work
Hi,

I ran into the exact same issue. I do have an implementation which works with Snom, but my Yealink phone (T23G with firmware 44.81.0.70) rings on receiving a csta session request.

Can/should I provide traces?

Andreas
