T48G - Call Park BLF Alert Tone
Hi,

I'm having an issue running the latest firmware 35.81.0.25 on the T48G that when a call park monitor BLF key is flashing red, all phones that have it are receiving an alert tone.
I have the Call Park Audio Alert off in the web ui, but it doesnt seem to do anything. This just started happening when I upgraded to the most recent version from a firmware version a few back.
Is this a known bug? or is there a fix or another parameter that I am missing?

from your describe, please help to check the audio alert for BLF Pickup is disabled.
web portal---features----call pickup---call pickup
you can also using configure feature:
features.pickup.blf_audio_enable=0
Enables or disables the IP phone to play an audio alert when the monitored user receives
an incoming call.
0-Disabled
1-Enabled
Note: It is not applicable to SIP-T19(P) E2 IP phones.

I've checked these settings and it display as DISABLED in the web portal. But it clearly is not because the phone exhibits the beep beep tones while a BLF is active.

Here is what I found out during my testing of T48G - firmware 35.81.0.25. I'll itemize my findings:
1) This setting is enabled by default even though through the web portal it is set as disabled.
2) Re-submitting the setting to disable does not do anything. This parameter remains ENABLED.
3) Changing to ENABLED, then back to DISABLED does not do anything. This parameter remains ENABLED.
4) To turn the setting off (DISABLE), I need to use the provisioning config parameter features.pickup.blf_audio_enable = 0 . This successfully turns it off.
5) Changing to ENABLED after item #4, turns the parameter on and I receive alerts.
6) Changing to DISABLE after item #5, it does nothing. This parameter remains ENABLED.

As you can see, this seems like a bug in this firmware.
The way to disable this parameter currently is to disable it via the provisioning config setting features.pickup.blf_audio_enable = 0.

Hi Team,

I make a testing on my side with 35.81.0.25, we failed to reproduce the issue.
From your testing, the item #4, using provisioning config parameter, this feature successfully turns off, then the alert will also disabled, right?
moreover, the config feature can not disabled issue, please testing with below:
1/ please reset the phone and testing again via Web interface.
2/ after reset the phone and testing again with auto provisioning.
3/ if still have the issue, please hep to get PCAP, config.bin and syslog with level 6.
