3CX and FW .130 low mic volume
Hello,
we have a 3CX and we are using the provisioning template of version 15 to deploy Yealink phones. The customers alway say "can you please speak louder" ...i have found this information in the internet:

#Configure the sending volume of Speaker, Handset and Headset. It ranges from 1 to 53, the default values are 25, 35, 29.
#Require reboot;
voice.handfree_send = 25
voice.handset_send = 35
voice.headset_send = 29

But the template of the 3CX does not contain any parameter with "_send" .... which paramter we have to change to set the voice level on the mics higher?!

Hi,

This is because 3CX doesn’t update the templates.

You can change parameters directly via WUI or using template.
- WUI: go to “Feature > Audio” (See attachment)
- Template: Add next parameters
voice.handfree_send =
voice.handset_send =
voice.headset_send =

Hello,
i have tried this... but the volume is still to low... we cannot use the phones. I have added this to the template:

voice.handfree_send = 25
voice.handset_send = 53
voice.headset_send = 29

But nothing changed... the volume is 1:1

Mmmm, strange.
It looks like the phone isn’t take over the settings from the template. (As shown in the attached screenshot)

Please try to change the settings manually via the WUI.
It ranges from -50 to 50, not from 1 to 53.
Then after the changes are set by pressing the “Confirm” button, please do not forget to reboot the phone, and test again.

Yes i think that works... but i have to setup over 200 phones. I need to configure them via template. I have tried the new 81 FW and 80 FW... we already have rolled out 10 phones ... but all colleges are calling because they cannot understand the person they are speaking with Sad

After you re-provioning the phone(s), please check if the phone(s) reboot.
Re-provisioning only is not enough.

Please stay with the by 3CX supported version f/w .130

I have try it. I have set it up to 50 via web-interface. And the volume is boosted! ... Thats the next problem... 200 phones with FW 81... no option for auto-downgrade...



Ok now i tried it with FW 130 ... factory reset of the phone, reprovision, reboot... it does not work. I cannot set any of these settings:

voice.handfree_send = 25
voice.handset_send = 48
voice.headset_send = 29

I also tried another template ... still the same.. i think that must be a bug!

No, I think the bug must be searched in 3CX, not Yealink.
Please open the template and search for, let’s say, “Phone Features” header which is after
“Distinctive Ring Tones” header add here the 3 “_send” parameters.
Re-provision the phones and check if it work.
