I have a new T46S but can not see Opus in the codec choice, according to your web site this new phone should have Opus codec, I up graded to firmware 66.81.0.25 but still no Opus.

Hi Gary,

After you upgraded the phone to firmware 66.81.0.25 did you reset the phone to factory default?

No I did not.

I just did a factory reset & still no codec. Firmware Version 66.81.0.25

I have screen shoot but don't see how to attach

Hi Gary,

In 81.0.25, we have disabled the Opus feature, so that you can not see Opus in the audio list.
And we will release a new firmware with the Opus can work well in Q2. If it is not urgent for you, can you wait for the new firmware?

If it is urgent, we have a temparory firmware(81.0.20) for the opus feature. But there may be some compatiable problem. So please share me more info below.
Can you kindky tell me why is it urgent for you? What is the model of the other side phone? What is the sample rate of other side?
T46S can only support the 8k and 16k sample rate currently.

Thank you for your response, I am doing some testing with a remote hosted Asterisk server and would like to test opus to see it's performance, I will wait until your release your new firmware, I thought I was just not configuring the phone right.

Any update on this subject ?
T46S (or T42S) datasheet clearly mentions Opus codec support but XX.81.0.70 Admin guide also clearly mentions (page 12) that Opus codec is not supported by T46S (or T42S).

Yes, we will release the new firmware version which can support the opus. Please wait for the release. It will be ready in this month.
