disable screensaver

I've got several T46gs. I recently upgraded their firmware to version 28.81.0.25, and now I no longer have the option to never have a screensaver. When I log into the browser page for the phone, I see that in the settings/preference page I have the option to set the time for when the screensaver kicks in, but there is no option to have it never kick in. (The options range from 15 seconds to 6 hours but there is no 0 or disabled option) How can I avoid the screensaver so the lcd display always displays my regular screen?

Hi,

Please go to "Settings > Power Saving" page and set "Power Saving" to "Disable".

I had already done that. The problem is not that the screen goes dark (which is what happens when it goes into power saving mode) but that the screensaver (or in my case the clock) comes on after eg 6 hours. How do I avoid the screensaver turning on ever?

For the .25 firmware, this can’t be disabled at the moment.
You’ll have to wait till next firmware update.

Dear Sir,

In the V81 of T46G, if the phone is idle for 6 hours, then the screensaver will be actived. And it can not be disabled currently in order to avoid the Afterimage Problem.

Thanks to both of you. Surprised that the option to turn off screensaver is gone. Would have thought the after image issue is unimportant given the nature of display (and some of the static parts of the clock, like am or pm, would presumably cause the same issue), but from what Lucia said it sounds like the option to disable the screensaver will not come back in a later version. Thanks again.

using Firmware 35.81.0.61 (3CX V15 certified Version) on T48G - and still can't find an Option to disable the Screensaver.
What's the Status on this?

Hi Andreas,

The Screen Saver can not be disabled, only (automatically) start and stop.
