Opus Ultra Wideband and Fullband
It's great that you have added Opus to the latest 81 firmware.
Thank you for that!

Now currently only Opus narrowband 8kHz and wideband 16kHz are supported on your phones. We are using T23G.

Please add support for Opus ultra wideband 32kHz and Fullband 48 kHz as well.
Asterisk supports the whole bitrange of Opus.

This way we could have an even greater audio experience.

Companies like Zoiper are doing this on their soft phones already.
See attached picture.

Is that something your development team could add?

Doesn't this contradict your answer on this thread?

Yes, the T23G can support the opus you want in X.81.0.20.
For more information, you can refer to the new guide from page 786 to 789:

Just to clarify, in this thread, judging from your screenshot, you are saying, that Opus will be supported at 8 and 16 kHz. There is no mention of the 32 and 48 kHz versions.

I checked the document you provided. Thanks.
I understand better now. According to the screenshot, Yealink phones do only support narrowband 8kHz and widenabd 16kHz, not super-wideband and fullband. The codec itself would, but not on Yealink IP phones.
Only on decoding the T23G supports super-wideband, but that is of no effect cause it's not happening on encoding.
I am looking for an super-wideband codec to increase quality, but so far Polycom and Digium are the only ones providing G722.1c (siren 14), which is 24kHz super-wideband (or ultra-wideband). Hopefully Yealink can catch up to the competition here, cause it really is another great leap compared to G722. Try a Polycom phone and you will be impressed.

Another question:
The document says "Opus sample rate is only configurable on SIP-T48S/T46S/T42S/T41S/T27G IP phones" from the GUI.
How do I configure Opus sample rate on T23G phones (either 8kHz or 16kHz)?

Yes you are right. And i will feedback it to our PD.

Also, for the Opus sample rate on T23G phones, it can not support to be configured.
Like the document said "Opus sample rate is only configurable on SIP-T48S/T46S/T42S/T41S/T27G IP phones" .

RE: Opus Ultra Wideband and Fullband
We would like to have Fullband support added to the T48S. Is Yealink planning to support this soon on the T48S?
