Different ringtones T38
Hi

I would like to have two different ringtones.

One ringtone when a customer calls the office, another ringtone if a call is transfered internally.

In other words: I want to be able to hear if it is a call "from outside" or a transferred call from a colleague.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,

You can use the Distinctive Ring Tones features to define the different rules, but should support by your pbx server, please get help from your server provider.
For Distinctive Ring Tones feature: How to Use Distinctive Ringtone on Yealink SIP-T3XG Phones Rev_70.0

Thank you!

Hi,

Thank you for a very prompt answer.

I prefer to have the ability to handle the set-up/customization in-house.

Is the suggested solution the only possibility for me?

Thanks.

Hi,

Also you can try to set in the local directory, create a group in local directory and add the internal extensions in this group, select another ring tone type for this group. When an incoming call comes from this group, it will rings up differs to the phone common ringtones.

Thank you!

Best Regards,
Peter

Thank you

Do you think it will work, if the incoming call from the group is a transfered call from "outside" ?

Thanks

Hi,

It depends the transfer mode, if the "outside" call is transfered by internal extension via Blind transfer, it will ring by common ring tones, equals the outside call calls in.
If the "outside" call is transfered by internal extension via Attended or Semi-Attended mode, it will ring by the group ring tones, equals the internal call calls in.

Thank you!
Best Regards,
Peter
