Calling from the call log
Dear sir/madam

Where using a T46G/T48G in combination with freeswitch PBX solution.
T46G firmware: 28.72.188.16
T48G firmware: 35.72.188.7

When we wanna make a call from the call log it's calling to our own caller id instead of the number displayed in the log.

For example i call +3175453xx and i wanna call the same number in the log it's calling my own number. When you look in the log details i see the name of the called number and as number my own number. Ir's only behaving like this in outgoing calls. Incoming calls i can call back.

The odd thing is the T41P and W52P doesn't have this problem so i kinda ruled a PBX problem out. I also compared every setting between models and nothing seem to solve this issue.

In the attachment the PCAP of a failed call it might help

RE: Calling from the call log
I just tested this on a T46 with Firmware 28.71.0.224.
I found an outgoing call in the "Phones Call Info" List and clicked. It dialed the number.

The Wireshark shows that 2006 is the extension being dialed - so it is the phone.

Can you try another firmware?
28.71.0.224 is here: http://yealink.com/Upload/3CX/28.71.0.224.zip

Unfortunately this didn't solve my problem.

RE: Calling from the call log
Hi,

The firmware x.x.188.x is a customized firmware. I have forwarded it to our specific technology guys. They will follow up soon.

Regards,
James

RE: Calling from the call log
Hi James,

First of all thanks for the help and i have some additional information what might help.

The x.x.188.x is indeed customized we get it from our dutch vendor.
Like you said is tried also the original firmware 28.71.0.224 on my own phone and the issue is still there.

Where using 2600 Hertz freeswitch PBX solution. The T46 is extracting the number from the field "in-house calls" caller id of our PBX. In our case (and also with our customers) the default is our internal number 2xxx. When i enter in that field any random number the phone is calling that specific number. I also have support ticket open with 2600 Hertz as it's not clear on what side the problem lies as the T41 and W52P aren't showing this behavior.

There seems to be a difference in the answers from the SBC (5.172.222.5):
In the packet 389 the 183 session progress has remote party ID "2006"
In packet 434 the 200 OK has a remote party ID "31162232000"
It looks like the phone saves the progression caller id and not the 200 OK ID
