Ghost Calls
We are getting ghost calls on our home users networks. We have tried a config file that stopped it for awhile, and we tried blacklisting number but more numbers just keep coming.

I am wondering if completely updating the firmware has given anyone a fighting chance against ghost calls on the W52P Yealink phone?

Thanks.

RE: Ghost Calls
Please try below steps:
1. Upgrade the firmware to the latest version(V73). You can get the firmware from below links:
Base: 25.73.0.20 ( Base Firmware )
Handset: 26.73.0.10 ( Handset Firmware )

2.You can try to add below syntaxs to your cfg template(M7 template) and auto-provisioning it.
1). You can try this syntax in CFG template.
Code:
#!version:1.0.0.1
#The x of the parameter "account.x.sip_trust_ctrl " ranges from 1 to max accounts. For example, x ranges from 1 to 5 of W52P.
#You need to confirm which line you used.
account.x.sip_trust_ctrl=1
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you want to enable this sip trust control for account 1, fill 1 to “account.1.sip_trust_ctrl”.

Then SIP messages from other servers will refuse by the phone.
2). If it still doesn't take effect, you can disable the “Allow IP Call” in webpage or auto-provisioning and try again.
Code:
#!version:1.0.0.1
#Enable or disable the phone to dial the IP address directly; 0-Disabled, 1-Enabled (default);
features.direct_ip_call_enable = 0

If you don't know how to do auto provision, please let me know. And you get the auto provision template and user guide from below link:
AutoProvisioning
Auto_Provisioning_Guide_V73_20

thanks

RE: Ghost Calls
The last file we used was a bin file the we uploaded to the phone itself.

It looks completely different and I do not know where to start.
I have attached a copy of the old BIN file.

If you could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Thanks.

Attached File(s)
.bin  W52PconfMstr.bin (Size: 154.45 KB / Downloads: 4)

RE: Ghost Calls
Will an older BIN file be carried over when firmware is update?
Like I stated before, we had a BIN that worked and then after awhile stopped. It would be nice just to have the option in the GUI.

Thanks.

RE: Ghost Calls
Hi ndurain,

Thanks for your file. But we can't confirm your firmware version on the config.bin file.
1.About how to upgrade the firmware, please refer to the user guide. Begin at page 71.
Yealink_W52P_User_Guide_V73

2.If you don't know how to set it via autop. I attached the software, cfg file and video for reference.
W52P-siptru-autoprovision

thanks

RE: Ghost Calls
Could also please check your phone bill to verify that toll fraud has not occurred.

If compromised you are likely to be up for a large sum of money from your provider as high volume international calling can rack up massive calls very quickly and the internet is a dangerous place.

Your service should be designed with security upfront rather than an after-thought. I suggest you contact your integrator or SP and have a hard chat.

Hi all,

All the best,

RE: Ghost Calls
Hello !

I have red several forum about this issue. Some manufacturer are preventing this, by validating every inbound call with SIP proxy.

Is it possible for Yealink people to consider this on their next firmware??

A lot of customers are complaining about issue and are driving us crazy.

Please help !!! Sad[/align]

RE: Ghost Calls
Hi mroy20,

Please refer to this FAQ:
http://support.yealink.com/faq/faqInfo?id=181

To deskop phones with V73 firmware, you can prevent ghost call through changing configuration in web interface.
To W52P, you have to do it through autoprovision.

Regards,
James
